The primary language spoken in Otuba is Ebira, which is also the predominant language spoken within the Lokoja Local Government Area. The community is mostly made up of farmers who engage in the cultivation of crops such as yam, cassava, maize, and rice.
Otuba has several primary and secondary schools, but access to quality education remains a challenge for many residents due to the lack of proper infrastructure and facilities. The nearest major town to Otuba is Lokoja, which is about 25 km away.
